KING PHILIP'S WAR

When you add up the number of dead and wounded and factor in the colonial population in the 1670s, King Philip's War is the deadliest and most destructive war in the history of America. In this issue, we will look closely at how this war started, the different people involved, the now-famous battle at Great Swamp, and how the conflict permanently changed the way of life for both New England Indians and European colonists.
