U.S. - MEXICAN WAR

The 1800s were a time of great expansion in the United States. At times, the push westward brought Americans in contact with other colonial governments. The U.S. - Mexican War was a result of the United States enforcing its Manifest Destiny. In this issue, we will look at the causes of this war that tested our young nation as it flexed its muscles. We will look at the men who achieved different levels of fame and success while fighting in the war, and see how the American victory changed the map of the United States.
