BACON'S REBELLION

One hundred year before the Revolutionary War, Nathaniel Bacon, a landowner on Virginia's frontier, rebelled against the colony's ruling class, which was personified in Governor Sir William Berkeley. This issue describes the personalities of these two men and traces the path of destruction caused by their ideological differences.
