DUST BOWL

The period between 1929 to the late 1930s was a devastating time in American history. Little rain and poor farming techniques took their toll on parts of the Great Plains, creating both a literal and figurative Dust Bowl. In this issue, we include a little history, a little science, and a little technology to tell the story of this sad period of our history. There also are quotes from real people who experienced the dust storms, and an introduction to some people who turned their view of that time into art that has in turn made them famous.
