RUSSIAN AMERICANS

In May, we introduce another immigrant group to the United States and explore how our culture and history has been impacted by them. From the exploration of Alaska in the 1700s, to the fur trade in California in the 1800s, to the establishment of a major Russian communities in places such as New York's Brighton Beach in the 1900s, Russian Americans have added their own distinct stamp on America.
