WHITE HOUSE

Just in time for the bicentennial of the White House in the fall of 2000, COBBLESTONE has devoted an issue to the famous American landmark. With articles on famous visitors to the White House, critical events that took place there, the causes that first ladies adopted, and a behind-the-scenes look at a formal state dinner, the issue explores how the White House fills a role as a home, an office, and a stage. We also have a cut-away that shows the layout of the rooms open to the public and a couple of activities. Don't miss this issue that celebrates the rich 200-year history of the White House.
