Kids Submission Guidelines and Contests for COBBLESTONE ®

You don't have to stay up late, check out dozens of research books from the library, race to meet deadlines, or drink black coffee by the gallon (like we do!) to get published in COBBLESTONE  ®. We love getting your mail. Although we like to include a few pieces that make a connection to the theme of an issue (see below for a list of future COBBLESTONE  ® topics), it gives us great pleasure to publish your work, whatever its subject.

Please send us your awesome artwork, powerful poems, and critical, constructive, or complimentary comments. Include your name, address, and a note from a parent, guardian, or teacher that acknowledges that the work is original. We request that you please keep your written submissions to less than 25 lines.

We can't publish everything we receive, but we will fit as many as we can in upcoming issues. For over 30 years, we've been amazed by the steady stream of ideas and creations from our readers, so please keep those submissions coming! And thanks!

COBBLESTONE'S Tell it Like Twain Contest!

For a magazine that focuses on nonfiction, COBBLESTONE has a lot of talented fiction-writing fans! The response to our Tell It Like Twain Contest was overwhelming. After reading through all the entries, we are proud to announce that Anne Lester from Cibolo, Texas, is the winner! Congratulations to Anne, who will receive a book of Mark Twain's short stories. And thank you to everyone who participated -- your stories were creative, funny, entertaining, dramatic, and imaginative. We enjoyed every one.
