Letter to the Editor
The year is 1903 and you are a loyal reader of McClure's magazine. You've been following journalist Ida Tarbell's articles on John D. Rockefeller, the Standard Oil Company, and the monopoly Standard Oil has in the industry. Write a letter to the editor of McClure's with your opinion on the issue of business monopolies. Should one business be allowed to have complete control over what people pay for something? Or should a business be allowed to do what its owners want, without a reporter or outsiders questioning it?
