CALLIOPE ^® Best Map of the Future Contest Winners

Thanks to all our readers! We had a tremendous response to this contest, and the choice was extremely difficult.

First place Winner: Samantha Peters

I think the old maps could be improved by making virtual maps that will project onto the passenger's side window. The passenger can then read the map to the driver so the driver doesn't have to lean over to look at the map. Well, that is how I think maps could be improved. Here's my drawing of a new map we could use in the future.

Second Place Winner: George Wolcott

My idea is a holo map. The Holo map will be a holographic map that is emitted from a disk than can easily fit in a pocket. This map will fill any need you have. When you push on a button, a hologram of the world will appear. You can zoom in to anywhere and the 3-D map can change to any type of map you need it to be. It will even include any information about the place you need to know. Here is my drawing of the holo map.
